Rolna's Success Story and the Excitement of a New School Year

A message from Rolna💛💙💚

"Thank you for your support!

My life has changed, and I have no words to thank you. Every morning when I wake up I have a smile on my face. I am a young person who grew up without a father and my mom has a disability. I never thought I would reach this level. It is my greatest pride, and it is my dedication to create work as the life of Haitian youth is not easy in Haiti.

I'm so happy to be in the KCH family"

- Rolna

Rolna joined Kids Connection Haiti five years ago after moving from the countryside to the capital to study agronomy. We're incredibly proud of his hard-working, creative, entrepreneurial spirit. Despite facing immense loss, hardship, and abuse his life has transformed - thanks to people like YOU!

I wanted to take a moment to share some recent highlights with you, showcasing the positive impact Kids Connection Haiti is having on our students' lives, even as the situation in the country remains challenging.

The students recently came together for a group meeting, and as always, it was filled with joy. Kids Connection Haiti fosters a deep sense of community, and these gatherings help build friendships that often feel more like family. I didn’t want you to miss out on the joy!

It’s an exciting and busy time for our students and our amazing, tireless team in Haiti as they prepare for the upcoming school year, with most classes starting in October. Our sewing students are practicing their skills at the office since not all of them have machines at home. Here’s a glimpse of Yveline hard at work—look at her concentration!

We’re also thrilled for our student Jean Renaud, who is in his final semester studying administration at the State University. He was recently selected as the assistant manager intern at Haiti Communitere, the community center where our office is located. What an incredible opportunity for him! This experience will be invaluable as he begins his job search after graduation.

We are deeply grateful for the blessings that have allowed us to continue this important work, especially during these difficult times. I’m thankful that we can offer these opportunities to our students, and they are so fortunate to have your support on this journey.

With love,

Astrid
