Good news from Haiti, against all odds!

The overload of terrifying news about Haiti might have left you a little numb. The idea of a country where kidnappings, violence and natural disasters are daily incidents, can make you feel helpless. Maybe you feel like there's no way out for the Haitian people.

False! Thanks to you, hundreds of Haitian young lives continue to be changed. And that's why I want to share some positive news with you. Yes, it is true, Haitians are living in fear and in danger. But Haitians are also real people, with real hopes and real dreams. And sometimes, these dreams come true!

Let's not give up on our Haitian friends. They need you more than ever right now. Let's focus on the good that is happening and the things we can do to help.

Love & blessings to you,
Astrid

First price for Stephania!
Two weeks ago, our medical student Stephania participated in a competition by 'Doctorpreneurs' in Haiti.

She did a fantastic job, making the case for a new project for the prevention of cardio-vascular diseases. Her presentation was professional and convincing.

With this award, she hopes to kickstart the project and offer affordable and accessible health care for her fellow Haitians.

Diploma AND a job for Cassandre!

Born into poverty and living in a room without running water or electricity does not define who you are. Cassandre proves that one is not defined by one's upbringing.

She worked hard, participated in all workshops, took every opportunity to serve her community and is now the proud owner of a well-deserved diploma as IT specialist. Cassandre is an inspiration for other students.

She already found a wonderful job, before graduating, as a Computer Science teacher at a local college.

Haiti Moves!
Your chance to join in the fun, get fit, and help a Haitian student. The month of November is dedicated to our fitness fundraising challenge.

The wonderful people in the pictures below graciously offered their time and talent for donation-based fitness, yoga and dance classes. You donate what you want, you join which ever class you love the most... et voila! All contributions will go to support the education of our students in Haiti.

"Haiti moves" will launch on November 1st with Laurant Amzallag, (yes, the one from TV!), who will kick-start the fun with a week of daily work-outs. Stay tuned for the complete November schedule.
