An incredible success story 💛💙💚

Here she is, our fabulous and brilliant Dr. Stephania Michel!

Our dear student Stephania graduated from Med School on January 24, 2024. Stephania has always wanted to become a medical doctor because she has witnessed many people die due to a lack of health care.  During her seven years at Kids Connection Haiti, she was an excellent role model to our other students; she was cheerful, kind, hard-working, and dedicated to reaching her goal. 

 She took every chance to practice her skills and improve her medical knowledge; during her studies she interned at a maternity hospital, a psychiatric ward, in internal medicine, in surgery, and more. She also participated in and won the Doctorpreneur Competition in 2021 and is currently volunteering at the hospital of Zanmi Lasante (Partners in Health). 

I cannot tell you what an incredible achievement this is. This young woman, who lived in the poorest neighborhood and grew up without any parental support, will change the lives of her patients - people like herself who rarely have access to health care. 

 Stephania’s journey would not have happened without your kind and generous support. We thank you for being part of Stephania’s success and for the impact this will have on many lives.
