We can create new beginnings this Giving Tuesday!

Most likely you received many GivingTuesday requests over the past several days. There are some truly worthy places you can choose to support this holiday season.

But I want to tell you why this year — more than ever — you can make a major impact by choosing to give to Kids Connection Haiti.

You can offer a new beginning to a former child slave.

We have begun to raise funds for a home for girls who have been the victims of human trafficking. As you know, KCH helps young people who’ve been orphaned to get an education and ultimately find a job. In a country with a 40% unemployment rate, more than 90% of our graduates have successfully found paid employment. Sadly, ten of our newest students turned out to be victims of forced labor. We have seen the scars on their bodies and their souls.

So, in the midst of political strife and deeply entrenched poverty, KCH is seeking to create a new respite for girls who’ve been ‘restaveks’ or child slaves to work toward an education and better life. We can not give them back their youth. But with your help we can offer them a new beginning, in a safe community, where they can rebuild a stable life while learning a trade or finishing school.

Donors who give this #GivingTuesday will be directly supporting this new safe haven for our girls.

We have been offered a matching gift of up to $5,000.

That means that every single dollar you donate for Giving Tuesday

will be doubled up to the amount of $10,000!

To break it down in smaller gift amounts:

• $25 pays for rent for one girl for one month

• $50 pays for food for one girl for one month

• $100 pays for ten pillows

• $250 pay for one month's rent for 10 girls.

There are so many places you can support this Giving Tuesday. We humbly ask you to consider donating your funds to help change the lives of these young Haitians and share our efforts on social media.

Together, we can offer new beginnings.
