First KCH benefit - a great success!

We did it! The KCH Happy hour for Haiti was the most fun fundraiser that I have ever attended.Tuesday June 15th, Kids Connection Haiti organized her first event and it was awesome. We were very lucky to have the ‘Newseum Residences Rooftop Terrace’ as our venue – a venue that can’t be beaten! The location graciously hosted by 'Dog Meets World' founder Carolyn Lane offered amazing views of the Capitol and museums – where we enjoyed delicious rum punch (if I may say so), a fantastic guitar duo (thanks Chris and Drew!!!) and, most importantly an awesome

group of people. We received about 80, friends, friends of friends, family and colleagues, and every one contributed to the Kids Connection Haiti cause, through ticket and raffle sales, donations, help during the event and offers for future help. Results the Gym, Schneiders at Capitol Hill and Tammy’s beauty salon donated prices for the raffle – which were received

with great enthusiasm. Thank you so much! As you can see on the pictures, people had a great time (thanks Marina for volunteering as our photographer!)… and I am already looking forward to the next one. Special thanks to the Kids Connection Haiti Board for their help and support – Laura, Brian, Chalis, Macha, Jocelyn, I couldn’t wish for a more inspiring board! Jim, Malek, Kim, Carlos, thanks for helping with the cleaning – you are all great. Everyone who attended: thanks a million for your support, your encouragement and attendance; you all made the Happy Hour for Haiti a huge success. Benefits from the Happy Hour will be used to support at-risk Haitian youth create a more stable, secure and economically independent future.
